I remember hanging up the phone after booking my first in-person client consultation. Obviously I was thrilled, but it was almost immediate when the nerves set in. What if the client totally sees through my “fake it ’til you make it” approach and didn’t think I was worthy of their investment to book actual appointments? Most importantly, what do I even ask at the consultation to make sure I know what I’m getting myself into? Over the years I’ve created a method for how to conduct my initial calls, consultations, and appointments in order to ensure not only a smooth process, but a satisfied client. Now, before, during, and after every appointment I’m prepared for whatever situation and scenario comes up (trust me, I’ve seen it all!).
